Sweet Pea,
You are a big girl. Earlier this month, at your 6 month check-up you weighed 17 lbs and 3 oz (75th-90th percentile), and were 27.5 inches long (95th percentile). Dr. M was very impressed with how strong you are. When we told her you were pushing into the crawling position and scooting around I could tell she didn't really believe us. But then when she put you on your belly on the exam table you pushed right on up to the crawling position and she said "Well, will you look at that? She really IS strong!" You also got some of your vaccines and didn't even cry. You are such a great baby - how lucky we are!

Stinky Feet
Sweet Pea,
Do you know that you have stinky feet? I can't figure this out because we bathe you every night and you spend most of the day barefoot. So why are your feet stinky?

6 Months
Sweet Pea,
Six months ago today I was in labor, about to have you. I had no idea how my life was about to change. What an amazing gift you are. I have loved our 1/2 year together and look forward to many, many more. No matter how big you get you will always be my baby girl!

Busy Baby
Sweet Pea,
How busy you've been in the past week and a half! You now eat rice cereal, bananas and carrots and I think you like all three. You weren't very sure about the carrots at first,
but now you seem to really love them.
Today you sneezed carrots all over me! Next up is avocado or sweet potato. I LOVE them both so hopefully you will too.
The biggest news though is that you are practically crawling. Late last week you started pushing up into the crawling position, I couldn't believe it. And now you are doing it all the time. You are getting much better at scooting too. I glance down for a minute and you have scooted across the room. And you're starting to put the crawling position and scooting together. I'm so shocked that this stage is happening so soon.
What is really amazing to me is how curious you are about EVERYTHING. You watch everything Papa and I do. Your hands are constantly grabbing at toys, clothes, cords, outlets (!), Apple, the cats...anything you can explore. Anytime I put you down on any surface you immediately glance around for something to grab and go for it. You are never sitting or lying still. Sometimes after you wake up from a nap I will get a few moments of cuddling before you are ready to play (and I treasure these moments) but mostly if you are awake you want to be playing and exploring. I wonder if this is a developmental stage or if this is a glimpse of your personality. I am so excited to see what your personality will be!
